You are what you eat
From an Ayurvedic point of view, no food has no Ayurvedic properties. This means no food is banned. The key principle is to eat according to our body type or dosha.
Ayurveda is vegetarian from a spiritual point of view.
Ayurveda is not vegetarian form a medicinal point of view. Food is considered as nutrition but also medicine. This means that in certain cases meat, fish can be recommended for certain person presenting certain conditions.
The key is to enjoy what we eat. Health is physical but also mental. Ayurveda teaches how to eat in moderation, how to respect the seasons, how to uses spices and herbs to counterbalance the effect of one or another ingredients.
