Spiced Indian Masala Chai Tea

Ingredients

Fresh Ginger

3-4 cloves
-
4-5 cardamom pods

1 Tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 cup milk (dairy or nut based)

1 Tbs loose black tea

Honey / Jaggery / Cane sugar (optional)
Instructions

Bring 2 cups of water to boil

Crush cloves and cardamom
-
Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon and grated ginger to water

Reduce heat and add tea
-
Let it cook for about 5 minutes

Add milk
-
Let it cook for about 1-2 minutes

Remove from fire and let it cool for a few minutes

Serve and sweeten to taste
