Ayurveda, Meditation and curry night - 19/11- Love Shack

Intro to Ayurveda covering the key principals for well-being, focusing on the Ayurvedic diet & lifestyle for Autumn. Including yoga practice.


Discover the secrets of Ayurveda, the ancient holistic health system from India. Ayurveda means the science of life and its main aim is to prevent the formation of diseases, by maintaining optimum health according to our body type. Ayurveda revolves around the 5 main elements and believes we all have these 5 elements in our body. Each of us is made of these elements with some being more prominent than others. From these elements derives body types, also called doshas.

Join me for a special evening of discovery of Ayurveda when I will be sharing the recommended routine for all. 



Diwali Celebrations: Yoga Dinner - 28/10. E5 Bakehouse

Join me to celebrate Diwali, the festival of light. Celebrating new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.

We will be practising an hour of traditional Indian Hatha Yoga, focusing on pranayama & candle gazing meditation.

The yoga practice will be followed by Ayurvedic snacks.

Feel free to bring anything you would also like to share with the other yogis too!

The class & dinner will be donation based. Recommended donation £10.

Winter Yoga Retreat - 01/12. Hackney City Farm 

Rachel and Melanie are welcoming you at the heart of the Hackney City Farm for a special Winter yoga practice this October.

​Structure of the Autumn Retreat:

3pm: Yin Yoga

3.30pm: Traditional Indian Hatha Yoga

4.45 pm: Yin / Restorative Yoga

5.15pm: Meditation

5.30pm: Autumnal Ayurvedic Tea & Snack

​Restorative Yin Yoga: Rachel will take you through a gentler form of Yoga, giving us the opportunity to take time to hold postures for a little longer than usual and focus on our breath.

Traditional Hatha Yoga: Melanie will take you through a more dynamic practice of yoga, including Sun Salutations, various asanas and deep relaxation (Savasana)

​Meditation: Rachel will be leading a short practice to help us enjoy all the benefits from meditation. She will be sharing tips for us to take away and practice at home.

​Ayurvedic Tea & Treat:  Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Consultant, Melanie will be sharing some tips on living an Ayurvedic lifestyle and diet. You will be able to enjoy an Ayurvedic teas as well as Ayurvedic snack.

​Yoga mats & blankets are provided. Retreat open to all levels.
